Château Toumalin 2018 – Fronsac

The nose is fruity, racy and offers a certain power. It reveals notes of wild cassis, wild blackberry and small notes of strawberry associated with small touches of violet as well as fine hints of spices, pepper and a discreet hint of fresh tobacco. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, a mineral frame, a fine gourmandize as well as suppleness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy cassis, pulpy strawberry and small notes of pulpy cherry associated with touches of fleshy wild blackberry as well as small touches of violet, zan, a discreet hint of tobacco (in the background) and chocolate (in the background). Tannins are well-built, precise and very finely firm. Good length.
