The wine shows a medium ruby colour with a light garnet tinge. The nose is oaky, revealing nuances of sweet spices, vanilla, coconut and cedarwood with ripe, juicy raspberries and blackberries in the background. The palate is super-concentrated and extracted, with some overripe flavours of red cherries, raspberries and pomegranate with chocolate and cocoa notes in the background, as well as some balsamic hints. The tannins are bold and astringent but luscious and polished. Good persistence. A bold, powerful and opulent wine.
