The wines shows a medium ruby colour with a garnet tinge. The nose is slightly muted, will benefit from aeration. It opens up with nuances of tar, smoke and forest floor, with some spices and dried red berries in the background. The palate is juicy and concentrated, with refreshing acidity, bold and grippy but polished tannins and good fruit concentration. It reveals notes of dried red cherries, some cranberries and strawberries, with a touch of balsamic and garrigue in the background. Positive bitterness on the finish. Already developed but has a good further ageing potential.
