Château Thieuley – Réserve Francis Courselle 2019 – Bordeaux

The nose offers concentration, spice and fine grain as well as some intensity. There are notes of wild blackcurrant, pepper and slightly creamy wild blackberry with hints of iris, spice and a discreet hint of tea in the background. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, minerality, freshness, a certain amount of tension, a fine delicacy and roundness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, crushed blackcurrant and, more slightly, pulpy raspberry, combined with touches of creamy red berries, as well as fine hints of liquorice, vanilla, toastiness and a very discreet hint of tea in the background. Good length.
