The nose is racy and a little tight. There are notes of wild strawberry, blackcurrant and, to a lesser extent, blackberry, combined with hints of violet, spice, cardamom and a discreet touch of Cuben pepper and tobacco. The palate is mineral, fruity and offers fat/roundness, tension and a mineral frame. Nice freshness and roundness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, juicy/pulpy raspberry and slightly more pulpy cherry combined with hints of cardamom, tonka bean and hints of nutmeg, tobacco and a subtle hint of graphite/racy minerality. Good length. A very fine hint of roast in the background.
