Château Tertre-Roteboeuf 2011 – Saint Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is fruity and offers a little stewed-fresh side, gourmandize, radiance, a certain concentration as well as a nice coated side. It reveals notes of fairly ripe boysenberry, fairly ripe small black fruits and more slightly graphite associated with touches of toast, coffee, fine hints of fresh lily, hazelnut, roasting as well as a discreet pistil side, with a subtle hint of bergamot and a very discreet hint of vanilla. The palate is fruity, balanced, elegant and offers juiciness, gourmandize, richness, opulence, a fine straightness, energy, a nice acidity / tangy frame, a nice grain as well as a pretty guideline. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bigarreau cherry, pulpy ripe plum, crushed blackberry and more slightly crushed raspberry associated with touches of blue fruits, pepper, cardamon, toasted almond, coffee / roasting, with a discreet hint of pepper as well as a subtle hint of vanilla and a subtle hint almost toasted thyme. Tannins are precise, elegant and polished. Good length and nice persistence.
