CHÂTEAU SOUDARS 2022 – Haut-Médoc

The nose is elegant, aromatic, delicate, powerful and would benefit from decanting. It reveals notes of violet, fresh cubeb pepper and small notes of crushed strawberry, associated with touches of chocolate, fresh tobacco, as well as hints of small fleshy red fruits, fresh violet plum, as well as delicate hints of sweet spices and a subtle hint of clove. The palate is well-built, supple, fresh, elegant, racy, delicate, nicely melodious, with energy and balance. It expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, bright cassis and small notes of small red berries, associated with touches of lilac, iris, camphor as well as hints of juicy little fruits and tobacco, with a discreet touch of camphor and toasted almond. Good length. Tannins are mellow and gourmand.
