Château Sociando-Mallet 2022 – Haut-Médoc

The nose is pretty elegant with concentration in the finesse and a certain small power or even depth. There is a nice mineral side with notes of creamy or even fresh blackcurrant, boysenberries and slight notes of wild strawberries associated with touches of crushed red berries as well as hints of cornflower, star anise and vanilla. There is a discreet note of caramelization. The palate is fruity with accuracy and freshness. There is a certain creaminess in the freshness with notes of luscious and creamy blackcurrant, blackberries and slight notes of fleshy strawberries associated with touches of blueberries, caramelization as well as a hint of cardamom. There is good definition with supple and sapid tannins. There is a fine salinity in the background on a chewy finish in a persistent finish.
