Château Smith Haut Lafitte 2018 – Pessac-Léognan

The nose is fruity, fresh, well-balanced and offers a beautiful finesse as well as intensity. It reveals notes of fresh gravel (terroir), fresh peach and small notes of fresh apple associated with touches of fresh ripe citrus as well as discreet hints of flowers, toasted and an imperceptible hint of beeswax. The palate is fruity, fresh, well-balanced, well-built, racy and offers a beautiful definition / aromatic purity, a beautiful finesse of the grain, a beautiful structure and elegance as well as power. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy / juicy peach, fleshy / juicy apple and small notes of fleshy / juicy lemon associated with a touch of tangerine, flowers, a hint of crunchy pineapple as well as discreet toasted hints and vanilla Bourbon. There is a hint of good bitterness (pleasant!) on the finish / persistence (which brings palatability). There is an imperceptible toasted hint on the persistence. Good length and persistence.
