The nose is racy and offers minerality, fine intensity and a relatively powerful grain. There are notes of fresh/pulpy wild blackcurrant, crushed wild red berries and a hint of zan, combined with hints of fresh flowers, fresh pepper and a discreet touch of cola and spice. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers minerality, juiciness, gourmandise, a certain unctuousness, an acidic frame, suppleness and some airiness in the approach. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of creamy blackcurrant, crunchy wild raspberry combined with hints of pulpy red berries, racy minerality as well as fine hints of chocolate, fresh flowers and toastiness. There is a subtle, almost inky finish and a hint of good bitterness. The tannins are racy and well managed.
