The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. It offers a lovely, discreet but elegant nose, with notes of ripe fruit (red cherry, strawberry, raspberry, morello cherry, blackcurrant; wild blackberry, wild plum), sweet spices (licorice, nutmeg, clove, a touch of vanilla), torefaction (coffee, caramelized hazelnut), cocoa and flowers (violet, peony), all in balance. The palate is gourmand, enveloping, juicy, with a fine sweetness of ripe fruit. It expresses notes of wild strawberry, morello cherry, red cherry jam, blueberry jam, creamy blackcurrant and raspberry coulis, associated with notes of licorice, mint chocolate, red cherry with chocolate , clove, vanilla (in the background), as well as fragrant floral notes (violet, cornflower, peony, rose in syrup). The tannins are very fine, soft and well structured. The finish is long, with pleasant notes of cocoa and sweet coffee, balanced by a nice acidity. A harmonious, elegant and gourmand wine.
