Château Sénéjac 2019 – Haut-Médoc

Château Sénéjac 2019 – Haut-Médoc

The nose is spicy, fresh and offers tension, a fine straightness and power. There are notes of wild blackcurrant, morello cherry and, to a lesser extent, pulpy redcurrant, combined with hints of violet, cherry blossom, pepper, nutmeg, spice and a very discreet hint of cinnamon. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, freshness, good definition, some fat, juiciness, sweetness, sapidity and a certain tension. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/fresh boysenberry, crunchy/fresh blackcurrant and slightly crunchy cherry notes combined with hints of raspberry as well as hints of tonka bean, cardamom, fine nutmeg and a hint of toastiness/smoke. The tannins are racy. Good length. A fine hint of mocha in the background.
