The nose shows fine intensity and grain. There are notes of nutmeg, ripe berries and, to a lesser extent, cloves, combined with hints of violets and fine spices. The palate is reductive and reveals some concentration, minerality and freshness. On the palate this wine expresses concentrated blackcurrant, pulpy blackberry and more lightly juicy/fresh strawberry notes combined with hints of zan, morello cherry, fine nutmeg and a subtle hint of toastiness/vanilla.
