Château Sansonnet 2018 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is elegant, fresh, fine and offers delicacy, a beautiful finesse of the grain as well as a beautiful aromatic precision. It reveals notes of blackberry, raspberry and small notes of strawberry associated with small touches of cassis, a hint of wild blueberry, violet, Sichuan pepper, vanilla and spices. The palate is fruity, fresh, mineral, well-balanced, silky, very discreetly tight and offers a beautiful precision/delicacy, a fine acidulous frame, tension, a small aerial side, a delicate touch as well as a beautiful finesse of the grain. A very beautiful finesse in the richness of this wine. It reveals notes of flehsy/juicy cassis, fleshy/juicy blackberry and small notes of raspberry associated with small touches of blueberry as well as hints of violet, vanilla pod, very discreet hints of spices and a very discreet hint of caramelization (in the background). Tannins are elegant. Good length and persistence. A beautiful success !
