The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is fragrant, concentrated and offers depth, a certain complexity as well as a savory spiciness. It expresses notes of smoke, torrefaction (coffee), cocoa and sweet spices on the first nose (cloves, nutmeg, licorice, a sweet touch of toasted vanilla and cinnamon). We then find the aromas of fleshy red and black fruits (blackberry, black plum, wild strawberry, morello cherry, red cherry, raspberry), with a touch of red cherry jam, a hint of violet, peony and mint. The palate is full, but straight and quite fresh. It expresses the flavors of wild strawberry, fresh morello cherry, tart red cherry, blackcurrant, raspberry, combined with notes of redcurrant jelly, licorice, coffee nutmeg and vanilla (in the background), as well as a touch of violet and blackcurrant bud. The acidity is lively and salivating. The tannins are fine and well structured. Good length on the tanginess of red fruits and a slight bitterness. Good balance.
