Château Saint-Martin des Champs 2019 – Cuvée 1675 – AOP Saint-Chinian

The nose is fresh, fruity and offers concentration as well as intensity. It reveals notes of wild cherry, crushed red plum and small notes of wild strawberry associated with touches of violet, smoke as well as hints of nutmeg, Sichuan pepper and a subtle hint of dry olive. The palate is nicely built and offers fruit, freshness, minerality, a fresh frame, suppleness as well as precision. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cherry, bright strawberry and small notes of bright red berries associated with touches of bright cassis as well as fine hints of fresh blond tobacco, a hint of zan and black olive. Tannins are sapid, supple and tasty. A hint of good bitterness on the finish/persistence.
