Château Saint-Martin des Champs 2018 – Les Terrasses de Fontenilles – AOP Saint-Chinian

The nose is aromatic and offers a melodious side as well as breadth. There are notes of quite ripe red berries, sap and small notes of fresh small blue fruits associated with touches of fresh tea as well as hints of zan and a hint of spices. The palate is nicely built and offers suppleness, freshness, minerality, a fresh frame, suppleness, acidity, a melodious side, a small fat as well as freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy raspberry, crushed red berries and small notes of juicy/pulpy blueberry associated with touches of black olive, zan as well as a hint of fresh grove and a subtle almost fresh sage hint. Good length. Presence of a hint of good varietal bitterness in the background. A fruity and easy-drinking wine.
