The nose is fresh and offers ripe/fresh fruit, a very fine incisiveness and a very fine power. There are notes of cherry, blackcurrant and slightly ripe wild berry fruit, combined with hints of liquorice and a subtle touch of camphor, racy minerality and pepper. The palate is fruity with a juicy/acidic structure, good definition, fine gourmandise, minerality and fatness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy raspberry, juicy/pulpy blackcurrant and more slightly fresh red berries combined with hints of liquorice, racy minerality and a subtle hint of caramelisation and chocolate. The tannins are mellow.
