Château Saint-Christophe 2024 – Médoc

The nose is initially firm, then it expresses notes of black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry, morello cherry), bigarreau cherry, strawberry and raspberry, fresh mint, a hint of rosemary, liquorice, cardamom and grated nutmeg, complemented by a touch of cocoa nibs and fresh hazelnut. The palate is juicy, fruity (blackcurrant, blackberry, morello cherry, bigarreau cherry, strawberry and raspberry), then herbaceous (fresh mint, a hint of tea and blackcurrant bud), delicately toasted and spicy (fresh hazelnut, cocoa nibs, licorice, cardamom, nutmeg). The tannins are slightly grippy, but fine, salivating acidity, persistence on the tart cherry.
