The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers depth, density and gourmandise of ripe fruit. It expresses the aromas of wild strawberry, morello cherry, roasted red cherry, black plum and blueberry (or even blueberry jam in the background), associated with notes of spices (liquorice, nutmeg, vanilla), fresh mint, dried aromatic herbs (in the background), flowers (violet, cornflower), cocoa and a touch of torrefaction (coffee, toasted hazelnut, heated wood). On the palate, the wine has structured tannins, even tight on attack. It then expresses the flavors of juicy and tangy red fruits (strawberry, red cherry, a touch of raspberry), associated with a tannic touch of bird cherry, black plum and morello cherry, as well as a hint of dried mint, liquorice, vanilla, nutmeg, chocolate cherry and dried herbs. The finish is quite persistent, rather tight due to the firm tannin structure, but juicy and balanced thanks to its salivating acidity.
