Château Rouquette sur Mer – Le Clos de La Tour 2017 – La Clape

The nose is fruity and offers deepness, a certain concentration as well as elegance and a fine/very discreetly tight grain. It reveals notes of crushed wild cassis, small wild blackberry fruits, small notes of black plum associated with touches of racy/saline minerality, fresh local copse, crushed blueberry as well as a hint of strawberry, chocolate, nutmeg and very fine hints of caramelization. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers freshness, minerality, a beautiful unctuous matter (full of control), juiciness, a fine straightness, a beautiful definition as well as a certain aromatic purity, a fine grain, harmony, an acidulous frame and ampleness/volume. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy blackberry, small crushed wild blackberry berries, small notes of black plum associated with touches of raspberry, bright/fleshy blueberry as well as small hints of mocha, dry local copse, iode, toasted and very fine hints of sweet spices/caramelization. Good length. Tannins are precise, fine and supple.
