Château Roudier 2022 – Montagne Saint-Emilion

The nose is spicy and offers fruit as well as a little incisive side. It reveals notes of wild raspberry, fresh/juicy wild blackcurrant and small notes of liquorice stick associated with hints of nutmeg, spices as well as a discreet almost infusion hint. The palate is nicely juicy, fruity, balanced and offers a tangy frame, minerality, some tension, unctuosity/fleshiness. It expresses notes of juicy/pulpy wild blackcurrant, wild raspberry and small notes of concentrated red berries associated with touches of tonka bean, spices and cardamom. Tannins are well-managed, mellow and sapid. Freshness and sapidity, substance and toast, a hint of coffee in the background.
