Château Roquevieille 2022 – Castillon – Côtes de Bordeaux

The nose is aromatic, ripe and fruity. It expresses notes of juicy black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry, crunchy morello cherry), sweet red fruits (crushed strawberries, raspberry coulis), fine touches of sweet spices (cinnamon, white pepper, a very slight hint of vanilla). and fresh flowers (a hint of violet and cornflower). On the palate, the wine is silky, with fine and melted, but structured tannins. It expresses a pleasant fruitiness (notes of juicy morello cherry, blackcurrant, crushed strawberry, as well as a fine touch of crème de cassis), light spicy touches of cinnamon, black pepper and vanilla, as well as a fine floral note of dried peony. Beautiful acidity and a delicate touch of sweetness in the medium-long finish.
