The nose is fragrant, fruity and gourmand, even enveloping. It expresses notes of black plum, morello cherry, ripe blackcurrant (even crème de cassis), wild strawberry and roasted red cherry, associated with a spicy and woody side that is perceptible, but integrated (licorice, nutmeg, cardamom, heated wood, toasted hazelnut), with a touch of peppermint, fresh pine needles, peony and violet. The palate is fruity, expressive, gourmand, with a beautiful volume and fruity expression, more fleshy than on the nose. It expresses notes of morello cherry, black plum, crushed wild strawberry, raspberry coulis, red plum jam, combined with notes of roasted red cherry, dark chocolate, dried peppermint, a spicy side (licorice, white pepper, cardamom) of heated wood, toasted hazelnut, as well as a floral touch (dried rose, violet). The tannins have a fine grain and a firm structure. The finish is sapid, chocolatey, dry due to the tannic power, but balanced by a refreshing and salivating acidity. A concentrated, firm, dense and dynamic wine.
