Château Roc de Calon 2018 – Montagne Saint-Emilion

The nose is fruity and offers a small gourmandize, a fine grain and a certain density. It reveals notes of pulpy cassis, pulpy Boysen berry, small notes of lily, cornflower associated with small touches of grey pepper, crushed blueberry as well as very discreet hints of spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a mineral frame, gourmandize, a fine concentration as well as a certain tension, precision and a fine suavity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed/fleshy blackberry, crushed cassis, small notes of violet associated with touches of crushed raspberry as well as a hint of crushed plum, flowers as well as very fine hints of vanilla, tonka bean and toasted. Good length.
