The nose reveals certain power, intensity, a fine grain and a fine freshness. There are notes of blackberry, fresh violet and, to a lesser extent, peony, combined with hints of wild berries, as well as fine hints of camphor pepper, cardamom, blond tobacco, a subtle hint of vanilla and a very discreet hint of salt in the background. The palate is fruity and reveals juiciness, brightness, a certain gourmandize, roundness and a pulpy/sparkling/acidic fruit. On the palate this wine expresses bright raspberry, pulpy/acidic cherry and more lightly violet notes combined with hints of fresh blackberry, peony, fine serum tips as well as discreet hints of fresh tobacco, clove and vanilla. A subtle hint of chocolate in the background and a fine salinity on the finish/persistence.
