Château Raymond-Lafon 2009 – Sauternes

The nose is fruity, gourmand, elegant and offers a slight intensity, richness (but full of finesse) as well as a slight complexity. It reveals notes of compoted pear, apple in syrup and fine notes of candied lemon associated with hints of vanilla, discreet toasted hints, honey as well as a subtle hint of pâtisseries and dried yellow grape .The palate is fruity, well-balanced, fresh, mineral and offers a beautiful fat, a beautiful volume, a slight acid frame, a beautiful definition, complexity as well as richness. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of candied lemon, confit mandarin and slight notes of green apple associated with a hint of flat peach, discreet hints of vanilla, pineapple in syrup, honey, sweet spices as well as a subtle hint of ginger and cedar. Good length.
