The nose is fresh, racy and offers a fine floral edge, fine depth and a fine stretch. There are notes of blackcurrant and, more slightly, iris/varietal, combined with hints of fresh raspberry and fine zan. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers juiciness, smoothness, good definition, a mineral framework and a fine creaminess. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy cherry, juicy/fresh purple plum and more slightly blackcurrant combined with delicate touches of flowers/irises and fine points of fresh blond tobacco. The tannins are a little firm. Good length.
