The nose is fruity and offers a certain concentration, accuracy and purity. There are notes of crushed blackcurrant, bright boysenberry and, more slightly, pulpy strawberry combined with fine hints of liquorice, cherry blossom and a subtle touch of chocolate. The palate is fruity and reveals freshness, minerality, a fresh/mineral backbone, energy, good work on the bitter taste, a fine acidic spine. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, fresh/juicy blackcurrant and, more slightly, fresh iris, combined with hints of fresh/crisp red berries, as well as fine hints of liquorice, caramelisation, sweet blond tobacco, a hint of toasted almond and hazelnut. Good length. The tannins are supple. A discreet hint of infusion on the finish/persistence.
