Château Prieuré-Lichine 2023 – Margaux Cru Classé

The nose is fruity, gourmand and offers good definition, accuracy, a nice textured/creamy side, depth, a nice finesse of touch. It expresses notes of gourmand blackberry, crushed strawberry and more lightly – violet, associated with touches of small red fruits, a fine Mediterranean hint, blueberry, graphite, star anise and a subtle hint of toast/sweet spices. The palate is fresh, fruity and offers gourmandise, pulpiness, a certain softness, freshness, a nice sparkle, nice freshness and accuracy, a tangy frame, energy, good definition, an almost crystalline and airy side in the material/definition. It expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, bright raspberry, pulpy/fresh blackcurrant, combined with touches of fresh/juicy red berries, fresh/juicy cherry, as well as fine hints of blueberry, a discreet hint of tea/infusion, as well as fine hints of mocha, sweet blond tobacco and toasted almond. Good length, soft, sapid, tasty and gourmet tannins. A subtle hint of coffee in the background.
