The nose is elegant, aromatic and offers power as well as a fine grain. It reveals notes of dry wild blackberry, ripe wild strawberry and small notes of crushed strawberry associated with small touches of violet, cardamom, cigar, sweet spices, underwood and incense. This wine should be decanted. The palate is fruity, mineral, full of length and offers an acidulous frame, power, juiciness and a fine richness on the hold. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/fleshy strawberry, pulpy/juicy cassis, dry blackberry and small notes of juicy/acidulous small red fruits associated with touches of underwood, tonka bean, cardamom as well as fine hints of tobacco/cigare and fine hints of truffle. Good length and persistence. A hint of bergamot and toasted hazelnut in the finish/persistence. Tannins are very finely marked in the finish.
