Château Prieuré de Blaignan 2016 – Médoc

The nose is fruity, mineral and offers a fine power (in the background). It reveals notes of ripe cassis, liquorice and more slightly ripe small berries associated with touches of flowers, fresh raspberry, hints of graphite, Cuben pepper as well as a discreet varietal hints and fine hints of spices. The palate is fresh, fruity, well-balanced and offers suavity, a fine acidulous frame, precision, fullness, fat as well as a fine tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy/fresh cassis, fleshy/fresh small wild berries and more slightly cherry associated with a touch of fleshy/fresh red berries as well as fine hints of flowers, a discreet hint of mocha/chocolate on the finish/persistence. There is an imperceptible hint of hazelnut/almond on the persistence/aftertaste
