The nose is aromatic, elegant, racy, slightly powerful and offers a slight concentration as well as straightness. It reveals notes of crushed fleshy blackberry and ripe cassis associated with slight notes of crushed wild strawberry as well as woody hints, spices and Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers finesse, tension, a slight juiciness, a beautiful volume as well as a beautiful mineral frame. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry, cassis, black cherry and hints of ripe raspberry associated with a discreet hint of ripe/juicy red berries, slight woody hints, licorice, spices, chocolate as well as a subtle hint of tobacco and an imperceptible hint of undergrowth. Tannins are well-built. Good length.
