Château Pont-Cloquet 2010 – Pomerol

The nose is fruity and offers a very fine concentration as well as a fine freshness. It reveals notes of wild cassis, wild black blackberry, small notes of black plum associated with small touches of smoke, incense as well as hints of violet, cornflower, grey pepper and a very discreet hint of cocoa. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers an acidulous frame, juiciness, freshness, a small fat and fullness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of dry wild cassis, creamy blackberry, small notes of fresh/ripe raspberry associated with touches of creamy plum, small juicy/fresh berries as well as hints of lily, chocolate, caramelization, a hint of tobacco, dry almond and a hint of clove.  Good length.
