Château Pomeys 2023 – Moulis-en-Médoc

The nose is aromatic, slightly sappy (a touch of pine needles, fresh wood), delicately floral after aeration (we find notes of violet, lily and peony), with a lot of elegance. The fruits are juicy and tangy (aromas of bigarreau cherry, cranberries, morello cherry, black plum, blackcurrant, blueberry), associated with a touch of menthol, liquorice and nutmeg. The fresh wood note is well enveloped. The palate is juicy and supple on the attack, fruity (there are flavours of morello cherry, blackcurrant, black plum, morello cherry in chocolate, blackberry), with a beautiful tannic structure, fine but well-structured tannins, a refreshing and salivating acidity. A refined wine, but with juiciness, concentration and gourmandise. Nice balance.
