Château Poitevin 2024 – Bordeaux Blanc

Château Poitevin 2024 – Bordeaux Blanc

The wine has a fragrant, fleshy, and indulgent nose. It opens with notes of yellow peach and crushed apricot (or even roasted apricot with thyme and honey), combined with aromas of orange zest, orange juice, and crushed lemon, and a light vegetal touch of cucumber. After aeration, we also find notes of white flowers (acacia, apple blossom), flower honey in the background, a hint of vanilla and toast, as well as a lactic hint of lemon yogurt. The palate is chiseled, tangy, and slightly closed. The attack is precise and lemony, with a good grapefruit bitterness and a tangy side of lemon and green apple. The mid-palate adds flavors of tangy apricot, a hint of honey and flowers (acacia, hawthorn), a slightly lactic and vanilla touch, and a hint of toasted hazelnut in the background. The finish is slender with a sharp, salivating acidity.
