The nose is mineral, a bit tight and offers concentration as well as a fine freshness. There are notes of wild blackcurrant, violet and, to a lesser extent, lily/pistil, combined with subtle hints of red berries, as well as hints of camphor, sweet spices and a touch of toast/caramel. The palate is mineral and offers freshness, smoothness and a fresh backbone. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/fresh blackberry, crushed blackcurrant and, more slightly, pulpy raspberry combined with hints of violet, lily, fine points of saffron, cardamom, tonka bean and a fine touch of cinnamon and a very discreet hint of fresh blond tobacco. The tannins are sapid. Good length. Discreet salinity in the background.
