Château Pipeau 2022 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is nicely developed, deep, fresh and ample, with an airy side in its concentration. It expresses notes of crushed blackcurrant, crushed raspberry and small notes of wild strawberry, associated with touches of nutmeg, tobacco, a hint of clove, as well as a fine nuance of small bright blue berries and toasted. The palate is nicely fresh, fruity, with juiciness, a tangy structure, precision, tension and a beautiful minerality. It reveals notes of juicy/fresh blackcurrant, boysenberry and slight notes of crushed raspberry, associated with touches of juicy/bright small fruits, as well as a hint of violet, blond tobacco and toasted notes. Tannins are mellow and toasted. Good length with a hint of roasting in the background.
