Château Pierrail 2022 – Bordeaux Supérieur

The nose is precise and offers a small concentration as well as a fine power. It reveals notes of creamy cassis, smooth blackberry and slight notes of crushed strawberry associated with touches of roasted cherry, violet, lily, graphite as well as discreet hints of sense of place (local biotop), with a very discreet hint of fresh pepper and fresh vanilla pod. The palate is mineral and offers freshness, tension, accuracy, a little airiness in its smoothness as well as a discreetly tight grain. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of luscious/juicy blackberry, radiant blackcurrant and slight hints of violet associated with touches of crushed berries as well as hints of vanilla/vanilla pod, chocolate, a hint of small tangy and toasted fruits. The tannins are soft and sapid. A fine graphite side in the background.
