Château Pichon Baron 2024 – Pauillac, Cru Classé

The nose is aromatic, elegant and offers fine velvetiness, complexity, good definition and sweet spices notes. There are notes of clove, wild blackberry and small notes of wild raspberry, associated with touches of small wild red berries, spices, floral nuances as well as racy minerality hints, a hint of cornflower/flower and discreet hints of spices. The palate is well-built, fresh, mineral, nicely elegant, melodious, nicely defined, finely unctuous (in freshness / an airy side in its unctuosity) and offers beautiful energy. A melodious side. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, brilliant cherry and small notes of small brilliant red berries, combined with touches of violet, hints of star anise, a subtle hint of lily, smoke, tobacco, as well as a hint of toasted almond and a discreet hint of cardamom. A subtle hint of iodized (in the background) and a very discreet, almost sappy hint (in the background). The tannins are elegant, mellow and gourmand.
