The nose is elegant, aromatic and offers power and a fine grain. It reveals notes of blackberry, cassis, small notes of camphor associated with touches of griotte cherry, liquorice stick, small ripe red berries as well as fine hints of Sichuan pepper, cardamom and a very discreet hint of clove. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a mineral frame, a beautiful juiciness, definition as well as gourmandize. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of fleshy/ripe raspberry, fleshy blackberry, small notes of griotte cherry associated with touches of cornflower, violet as well as a subtle hint of juicy plum, liquorice stick, clove as well as discreet hints of tobacco, badiane, chocolate and mushroom. Tannins are elegant and well-built. A very discreet hint of crushed hazelnut on the persistence which brings a very fine chew.
