The nose is fruity and offers a nice definition of the fruit as well as ripe, fleshy and juicy fruit at the same time. There are notes of creamy blackberry, fleshy blue berries and more slightly fleshy raspberry combined with hints of blueberry, liquorice, fresh lily, fine zan and a discreet hint of sweet spice and a very discreet hint of Sichuan pepper. The palate is fresh, balanced and offers a tangy structure, good definition and a racy minerality. A nice juiciness and freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of plummy blackberry, crushed blackcurrant and more slightly violet combined with hints of creamy plum, pulpy raspberry, ripe/juicy redcurrant and hints of liquorice stick, sweet blonde tabacco and vanilla. The tannins are precise and finely mellow. Good length. Fine chewiness on the finish.
