The nose is a little discreet, a little closed and reveals a very fine power in the background. There are notes of wild blackcurrant, wild raspberry and, more slightly, clove, spices associated with fine peppery notes. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, minerality, good definition, some juiciness, a fresh structure, tension and a fine stretch. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh/pulpy blackberry, raspberry and more lightly violet combined with hints of star anise, racy minerality and fine hints of fresh almond and a subtle hint of fresh clove in the background. Good length.
