The nose is elegant, racy, precise and reveals a peppery character, a nice finesse of grain, harmony, a certain linearity (in finesse) and tension. There are notes of violet, pepper and more lightly ripe dark berries combined with fine hints of fairly ripe blackcurrant as well as fine hints of star anise, saline gravel, discreet hints of serum/almost eucalyptus, a subtle hint of sweet spice and clove. The palate is fresh, juicy, elegant, enveloping, nicely dynamic and reveals purity, elegance, some airiness, silkiness, freshness, density/concentration, juiciness, a fine infusion. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, wild blackcurrant/juicy berries combined with hints of violet, peony as well as hints of graphite, cardamom, fine hints of creamy blue berries and discreet hints of chocolate. Good length. The tannins are creamy, gourmet and sapid.
