Château Petit Val 2018 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is fruity, elegant and offers power, concentration, freshness, a fine richness as well as a good finesse of the grain. It reveals notes of ripe cassis and small notes of grilled bread, blackberry associated with fine touches of violet as well as a hint of nutmeg and a very discreet hint of vanilla (in the background). The palate is fresh, fruity, well-balanced and offers a beautiful mineral/fresh frame, a small tension, precision, a good structure as well as a small gourmandize. On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe/juicy cassis, ripe/fresh raspberry and small notes of ripe/fresh cherry associated with small touches of flowers (violet, cornflower) as well as very fine hints of cocoa, vanilla and toasted. Good length.
