The nose is spicy and offers some intensity and good definition. There are notes of Sichuan pepper, blackcurrant and, to a lesser extent, ripe red berries, combined with hints of camphor, morello cherry and fine spices. The palate is fruity, racy and offers minerality, freshness, a mineral frame, a fine tension and concentration. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/fresh blackberry, pulpy/fresh raspberry and more slightly of pulpy wild red berries combined with hints of mocha, sweet blond tobacco, fine clove notes and a discreet hint of camphor, racy minerality and a very discreet hint of black pepper. Good work on the bitter taste.
