Château Pech Redon – La Centaurée 2015 – La Clape

Château Pech Redon – La Centaurée 2015 – La Clape

The nose is fruity, fresh and offers concentration, power (full of control) and a certain gourmandize. This wine should be decanted. It reveals notes of wild cassis, violet, wild raspberry, small notes of crushed wild blueberry associated with small touches of garrigue, laurel berries as well as fine hints of cardamom, chocolate and a very discreet hint of fresh flowers. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, racy and offers and acidulous frame, juiciness, suavity as well as a small freshness, a small gourmandize, a certain harmony/aromatic purity, tension and a beautiful fine grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy wild cassis, small wild black fruits, small notes of crushed wild strawberry associated with a touch of cooked blueberry as well as hints of garrigue/sense of the place (local biotope), laurel berries, mild tobacco and an imperceptible hint of pepper (in the background). Tannins are well-built. Good length. Fine hints of caramelization, cocoa, toasted almond and a small power on the finish/persistence.
