Château Peby Faugères 2019 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Grand Cru Classé

The nose is elegant and offers concentration (but full of balance), a small power, a fine grain, elegance and deepness. It reveals notes of wild blackberry, ripe/juicy small black fruits, small notes of ripe wild raspberry associated with small touches of liquorice, violet, lilac, fresh nutmeg, sense of the place as well as discreet hints of black pepper, toasted and spices. The palate is fruity, well-built and offers precision, a beautiful finesse of the grain, power, a good structure, a fine freshness as well as juiciness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/dense blackberry, wild cassis, small notes of small crushed blue fruits associated with touches of fleshy strawberry, black plum as well as fine hints of violet, camphor, cardamom, a subtle hint of cocoa/dark chocolate and toasted. Tannins are elegant, precise, racy and very discreetly firm.
