The nose is full of mastery / accuracy, nicely racy, aromatic, complex, deep and offers power in accuracy / finesse as well as a racy limestone grain. It reveals notes of Sichuan pepper, cassis and more slightly wild blackberry associated with small touches of small red fruits, lilac, fine hints of fleshy plum, a sense of place as well as a subtle hint of star anise and a discreet hint almost roasted herbs. The palate is fruity, balanced, elegant, racy and offers accuracy, juiciness, a certain density in finesse, precision, freshness, an acidulous frame as well as a nice finesse and power of the grain. Lots of delicacy, mastery and “sense of place” in this wine. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy / pulpy blackberry, juicy cassis and more slightly violet associated with touches of violet plum, wild raspberry as well as fine hints of tonka bean, blueberry, licorice, vanilla and a subtle pointe (in the base) almost sage. Tannins are elegant, precise and delicate. Good length.
