Lovely fruity nose, fresh, intense and which offers darkness in freshness, intensity in finesse, a certain power in accuracy, straightness as well as an infusion side. We find notes of blackberry, violet and more slightly of small dense/fresh blue fruits associated with touches of incense, graphite as well as hints of sense of place (local biotope/Mediterranean barrier), spices, a discreet hint of roasted fruits and a subtle hint of blond tobacco. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers juiciness, concentration, depth, juiciness, a nice definition, gourmandise, a tangy frame, brilliance, accuracy, a nice minerality, a melodious side as well as a controlled power. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh blackberry, fresh/bright blackcurrant and small notes of roasted-fresh raspberry associated with touches of star anise, blue plum as well as Mediterranean hints, black pepper, toast as well as a subtle hint of grilled, sense of place (local biotope) and a very discreet hint of pine needles and dark chocolate. The tannins are tasty and supple. A hint of Bourbon vanilla on the finish.
